Default New edge front tire width

I was wondering if it is possible to fit 285/30/18 in the front of my 99. Will i have clearance issues? I tried running 275's up front in one of my sn95's and the steering didnt feel right. It looks like i might be able to pull it off but looking for feedback.

will probably work, hell w/ a 275/35/18 ive seen signs of slight rubbing, but it would have to be when ive got the wheel completely turned and having a load on it...

I personally wouldn't do a 285/30 though. Sounds like their wouldn't be **** for a sidewall and would llook ... yeah ...

Um, to run a 285/30 you need an 18x10 front wheel.
Not only will that rim size not work up front, that width tire is far too wide. It rub when you turn AND it will mess up your steering like crazy. You'll be all over the road without MAJOR steering and suspension mods. A wide front like that will also mean you'll have to push more rubber - meaning worse mpg and worse acceleration. Not to mention the extra weight you're putting on the nose - which is already too heavy in these cars.

Run an 18x9 with a 265/35 and you'll be much happier.

you know, I hear that alot, but even w/ my 275 up front, it doesn't really feel that bad to be honest...

It does pull on some pretty nasty spots in the road, but Ive got a set of stock 15x7s for my drag radials, and to be honest, I haven't noticed any differene with those smaller wheels up front...
