Cool Hurst Chrome Billet Plus Shifter vs Steeda TriAx Shifter

I'm damn set on getting a new shifter for the sixer. Really tired of missing 3rd and grinding gears because the stock doesn't want to set properly. I'm debating between the Hurst Chrome Billet Plus with the included handle and with ****, and the Steeda TriAx. I've heard decent things from both and have tried to find threads when comparing the two but the older Hurst comes up, not this new one they came out with. What would you guys go with? I do love the chrome and white **** look and I know that Hurst is legendary, but the Steeda seems promising :/

The Steeda shifter is a great shifter. It has really short shifts and a comfortable handle location. Only dowsides are reverse can be hard to get into at times, as well as first gear. IDK why, but that's it's only downsides. Shifts perfectly from 1rst - 5th.

Can't speak directly about the hurst. I can say for sure the Pro 5.0 isn't as good as the steeda but doesn't have the reverse and 1rst gear problem.

Ive had the Steeda shifter now for 4-5 years and love it. Like JThorn said 1st and reverse are sometimes alittle hard to get into but besides that great.

What's all this hype about MGW? I hear about it so much its beginning to pop up in my dreams.
As for the Steeda, I just drove my buddy's stang and he just got done getting his in. Big difference compared to stock but I'd still like to try the Hurst out

The MGW gets a lot of positive reviews because it's fully adjustable. In other words the handle has more range for people that need the handle in a different location. The shifts aren't quite as short as the Steeda but it also doesn't have the 1rst/reverse gear issue either.

The adjustability is the reason I'm getting it. Right now I feel like I really have to stretch my arm to get it into 3rd which screws me over sometimes on fast shifts. I have a cheapo 75 AM shifter right now, so I can't coment on the name brands right now, but I'm hoping to see a good difference with the MGW.

Cant speak for the hurst, but I can speak for a slightly different combo-

GF's car has a Pro 5.0 with a foxbody hurst handle (longer, moves it toward the driver). Throws are nice, keeps the shifter towards you from stretching, even 5th isnt had to get. the pro 5.0 doesnt like reverse sometimes, but I love it overall.

I have had a couple of different types. My MGW is a masterpiece. I considered either a PRO 5.0 or MGW, I'm so F'n glad I got the right one. Love it.
