Hey so I bought a dual exhaust conversion kit for my 2001 3.8l mustang. This kit uses a y pipe so it's not a true dual. I was just wondering what hanger kit would work on my car. Would any hanger kit for a v8 work?

yup, thats all I used was the GT hangers.
Your kit might need custom hangers though, just depends on where hey placed the hooks.

We have used a couple but all were intended for a GT as a direct swap.
The current setup we have now is Borla, dumped before the rear end.
We also have Mach 1 take off that works well for us.

Some people have had problems with the pass side exhaust rubbing against the fuel tank shielding though we have not had this problem.

The midpipe that we are using is a modified 94/95 GT/Cobra BBK O/R X-Pipe.
As far as I know, we are the only ones running a modified V8 midpipe.

We bought a factory (manual trans) Mach 1 catted midpipe to modify to work too being that Cali wont like us much running without cats. I dont like running without cats as it is but the car isnt street driven much at all.

In the last 2 something years it hasnt seen more than a handful of miles as the build progressed. I intend to put a pair of nice high flow cats in the BBK X-pipe and run it between smogging.
