Default 2000 V6 electrical problem

So I have a 2000 v6 mustang, and earlier I went to start it up to go somewhere and when I opened the door, the overhead light started flickering. When I put the key in the ignition, none of the electrical componets come on and I keep hearing this ticking noise. I recently replaced the battery just a few weeks ago so that shouldn't be it. It sounds like it's getting power, but maybe there is a cable or fuse broken? I don't know, any help would be appreciated!

Check for a loose batt cable.

if its not the battery/terminals i would look into the ignition switch or its wiring
