Default OVER HEATING!!!!

what up guys,im new to the fourms and a new owner of a mustang.!


so heres the problem, my mustang over heats when its idel. not when its moving not when am driving, just when i leave it on and dont drive it. im afraid that at sometime it will overheat while am driving. what could possibly be the problem. please help me out kinda urgent! thanks. 3.8 v6 1998

start with basics, tstat, rad fan, coolant level, is the guage itself actually working?

I vote fan....if it had a air dam like my old Trans-Am Id say check it. Once mine was overheating..had no idea..one day i look dow nand see the air dam under the front hanging down...couple clips and I was good to go

+2 fan, same thing happened to my 95'.

I have another fan if you live close to Redding Ca.
