Default Having Break Issues

Hey guys, I just put new pads on my car and now the pedal goes all the way to the floor with little to no resistance. I noticed that when you hold the pedal down the brake system hisses really loudly and the cap on the brake reservoir squirts brake fluid. I'm not sure if that alone would cause such an issue but I have a new cap ordered. Any ideas would be great. Thanks

You should probably get a mechanic to help you look over the issue. A lot of things could be causing the problem from a bad brake booster, to a bad brake master cylinder, could even be an issue with the brake line or even the caliper.

I find a sledge hammer helps me break stuff.

You changed the brakes yourself? Sounds to me like you pushed the calliper piston back without opening the reservoir cap causing fluid to push up and out of the reservoir and also air in the lines hence brake pedal going to floor.

this. Did you flush the brake lines after changing the pads?

Yes I did the brakes myself. I don't remember if I pulled the cap off when I pushed the pistons back in but I think I prolly didn't do that. After going over everything I found the brake master cylinder was shot so I replaced it, bled the whole system and couple of times and now it works like new.
