Default next mod?

So I just ordered a bama tunner for my 2002 v6. I have a cold air intake also.... what next

Mac longtube headers...stock cats and gt take off mufflers divorce duals. I already have the gt mufflers that why.

Aluminuim driveshaft....

What part will I get more power from....the one I don't buy I will buy in probably buy in two weeks.....I'm thinking long tube headers and save for gears and posi along with driveshaft later?

if you want gears and posi traction then get an 8.8 rear end, the swap isnt to hard if you got the tools , some wd-40 and a small torch to heat up some tuff nuts if you want to save time, but thats what i would do. im waiting for the right deal to fall in my lap to get the rearend. good luck

I'd swap for an 8.8 posi rear first. No need to get more power if you don't have any traction

So what will I all need from this 8.8 rear end swap? Axle and differential? Anything. Else.... so buy 4:10 gt. An use the stock gt posi?

The same year model gt 8.8 will bolt right up, just need the rear end, when you get the rear end buy the gear set you want and have them installed in the new rear end before you install the new rear on the car. It will cost a lot less this way. And 1slomaro was witness to my dismall track pass spinning one tire half the track. That will give you the biggest boost in "performance".
I say performance since it would give you more horsepower but will make the biggest difference in the acceleration and feel of the car.

Wishinsky,

I definitely agree that gears would be a great choice for your next mod. However I'm not sure if I would go with the 8.8 approach. The 7.5in rear that came in the V6 is definitely strong enough to withstand a decent amount of power. Ford didn't swap to the 8.8 until they came out with the 300 hp engines.

If you plan on going supercharged, turbo etc.. then yes I'd upgrade to stronger rear. However for a bolt on car, a Limited Slip 7.5 and a set of gears (3.73's/4.10's) will definitely do the trick for you! That will allow you to get rid of those one legger burn outs and have a stronger set up.

I hope this helps!

But the thing with that is, for the price of the 7.5 posi, not even talking install you can usually find an 8.8 rear for almost half the price. Then get the gears and have them installed into that, and the install price will be cheaper as well since the rear is not under a car.

well if you get the rear end complete then you dont need the axles, find one in the junk yard might run ya about 300 but you can always haggle and sell your 7.5 back to them if they want it.
