It might take a couple of days to remove air bubble with regular driving.

I did my wifes PS pump on her 06 escape about a month ago. First day on start up just after I finished replacing it, OMG it sounded like an unlubed bearing with sand in it. Sounded like that for about 10-15 seconds.

2nd day on startup, did it for about 5 seconds

3rd day, just a split second

4th day on, nada. I should note that in those first three days I watched the level of fluid. It dropped a little each time. From the 4th day on it's stayed solid and hasn't budged.

No amount of "Pre bleeding" will get all of the air out. In fact for my wifes Escape it got none out.

basically, i belive you did bleeding perfactly. you should find out where is the source of noise.
How about belt? pls check whether the drive belt is loosen or not. and next, bearings in other pulley, i.e. idler or tensioner, can be worn.

Last one.. is worst case. you should check the steering gear assembly and hydraulic line. if you find any sticky leakage on it, i guess PS pump can make noise by unstable pressure feedback.

I'll replace my belt and PS pump and oil also. if i have same problem, i'll ask some here again ^^

No, it's definitely the pump. I just put this one on mine and it's doing the same damn thing. I was told by one of my commercial customers to hold turn your steering wheel lock to lock for a bit, then completely turn it and hold it for a few seconds and shut it off and it would flush all the air out.

Good luck with your whiney ford pump!
