Heater hose removal help
First time poster here and i'm just going to warn you that i am full of stupid questions. Broke a bolt trying to replace my thermostat and now i have to remove the manifold and try and drill it out. Got the upper one off, no problem at all. But the lower one is causing me problems.
I need to remove the heater hose that runs across the top of the lower manifold. The problem is a can't get it out. I want to take a hammer and crowbar and just start banging away. The problem is im not quite sure where it should come out at. i uploaded a photo, and if somebody could tell me at which arrow i should tug, that would be great.

It sounds like your talking about the metal hose going from the top of the water pump, back over the lower intake manifold, and into a flexible hose to the heater core in the fire wall. Correct? If you are having trouble getting the tube out of the top of the water pump, it is common. They often rust. Try soaking it in penetrating lube and try to rotate it back and forth until it pops free. As a last resort, try heating up the whole in the water pump where the tube goes in. Not glowing hot, but hot enough. The only thing holding it in is a rubber o-ring & rust. You should probably replace that o-ring while your at it too.
Good luck...

No. Arrow 2 is part of the tube. Arrow 1 is the whole in the water pump that the tube goes into. Twist & pull to pop the tube out. Maybe pry up a little on the metal tab that the bolt went through. Good luck...
