Well a full make over will also cost a fortune, but small add ons here/there will definitely turn the car around.

My advice, just drive the car till you can afford something that better meets your expectations for looks/power. Remember cars are terrible investments and money is spent more for joy than any return on investment will net as it will definitely be a negative one.

Yeah, gears can get expensive, if you shop around long enough you can find an 8.8 rear end from a gt that's already been geared for a decent price and it will bolt right in. Watch Craigslist and local papers.

speed = money

i would recommend the gear swap as well. another mod that might be worth while is a split port swap. i swapped a 99 3.8 into mine when the stock 95 blew a head gasket. i figured i would find a decent 99 on up 3.8 and rebuild it then toss it in, couldnt be happier.
between the gears, the spilt port and the windstar add on i love it.

guys above are right though, save your money or all the little things will eat up a budget and get you no where. its your car make it what you want, just have a plan for it.

I thought about getting a civic and upgrading it like need for speed, but even that gets expensive and isn't worth it unless u really like civics - seems like unless u get Si, civics are just designed to get you to work.

Pretty mad cuz I literally just got this car in like january, but at the time I just wanted it for looks - but now I'm kicking myself for how slow it feels. Thinking of just making it a show car. v6 mustang is still cool right? i personally rather have it than a hyundai tiburon just to be faster. most chix dont even know what a tiburon is!

any one else here just have v6 mustang for show rather than racing? what are some good mods u recommend to make my car more attractive? i plan to repaint it black when i get more $ would that be nice?
I'm going to have to correct you on this Honda topic I'm a Honda enthusiast and civics are very cheap to mod and no the si aren't all that at all swaps are cheap affordable and don't take much to go fast at all it would be cheaper than a stang with half the cylinders 1/4 of HP and be quicker I know Ppl will bash what I'm saying but I know my Honda's very well and know what they can do

And if you want more power go Turbo since your auto it will stay in boost and can punch it any time without Turbo lag

If you don't mind keeping the car, ~$5-8k into a car you have the title to is allways better then a $15k car you share with the bank, however I would say 90% of the kids coming in here don't keep them

I will never sell any vehicle for a huge loss, but then again it's paid for and I don't need to
