Angry bad day

today was gonna be the day to get my muffler installed - I had videos recorded on my iphone of before sound, some funny comments and even installation at the shop - then when it was done, it barely sounded louder than stock....my mood went from a 10 to a 0.

But i said screw it, i'll make the video anyways showing the results - well this my first time making a video with a mac, usually with windows i get it done pretty smoothly but after i finally figured out how to get the videos off the iphone to the computer the imovie program was infuriating and i ended up deleting all the footage from the shop and the before sound

but now im freaking pissed off as hell, i was looking forward to this, and now 100$ down the drain. I did this same thing with my 03 mustang v6 except I used a flowmasters muffler and it sounded really nice. this time i'm using a thrush turbo and it barely sound louder than stock!!! wtfff??? is it becauese its a 98 mustang or is it because I don't have flowmaters this time?

A single muffler swap out isn't gonna change much. You need to delete the y and add in duals to at least get a milder tone, and or get high flow cats/remove the cats (state pending) to get the best tones.

yeah but see all the muffler shops are saying they wont do any work behind the cats - so the only way i can get dual exhaust is Y pipe from behind the cats, to 2 mufflers - however just for that they are charging 600$!!!

thinking of ordering a americanmuscle.com exhaust sytem for 459$, however i am scared it will be missing parts or too big to take to the shop as i have only a mustang - or that it wont fit, and ill lose all the money or something,

ps- if i'm looking for exhausts on americanmuscle.com, do i want catback exhaust sytem or dual exhaust conversion system?

also thinking of instead getting some rear window louvers for 300$ - would that look good on my 98 v6 dark green mustang? I think it looks pretty cool in pics, but do u guys think it would look good on my mustang?

god damn it! the shop now saying with v6 can't really get a good sound unless u get cats removed or a good exhaust system which will cost ~800$ with installation.

and this bull**** cuz there are NO gts in my area that are in my price range.

why the hell is a 95 gt with 150k miles worth 8 thousand dollars??? that is the cheapest GT in my area and it has a messed up back bumper!!!

I can't take this anymore, i put so much money into my 6 and now its useless, nobody liked it and girls probably just think im a loser. its freaking unfair as hell, unless ur a millionaire we might as well just drive civics - im not surprised one bit rick warrens son killed himself.

"I put so much money into my 6 and now it's useless, nobody liked it AND GIRLS JUST THINK IM A LOSER." ....lol

Anyways, get the Catback dual exhaust from american muscle. Keep looking for a shop that will install it. I dunno y the others r being asses. Install should be NO MORE than $200! Also, have someone u know with a bigger car transport the exhaust kit with u..?

I talked to some of the most reputable shops in a 100 mile radius, and they saying my mustang has 4 catalytic converters and even with an americanmuscle.com exhaust sytem it wont really have much noise :|

how the heck do u guys have such awesome mustang v6 noises??

Is it okay if I just keep my exhaust the way it is? Cuz they sayin even with dual it won't sound much different and I can't justify spending 600$ just for cosmetic dual exhaust.

I rather get rear window louvers, is it okay if I keep single exhaust or will people look down on me?

I want some uniqueness, maybe I can be unique by keeping single exhaust and window louvers?

Also the thrush turbo muffler does sound a bit better than stock...a bit.

We will always be looked down upon by some in the mustang community merely because we only have six cylinders. Dont let what others think of your car affect your happiness.

If you are worrried about girls liking you because of your car, or what anyone thinks about your car, you have bigger issues.

Anyways, mufflers take time to break-in. When i went to dual exhaust on my old V6 it was barely louder than my single exhaust. I was pretty disappointed too. After about a month or so it was way better.

Also, when I got my GT it was way quieter than my V6 I was selling, that made NO sense. Again, couple months later, all was good.
