gt takeoffs will give you a tiny tiny rumble...but you WILL want to get new mufflers to ROAR at you...believe me.

well i was thinkin of doin one muffler with 2 exits and having it dump out as side pipes, maybe i shoudl get the take offs, it will still sound better than the 6 right? then once i have the rest of the money ill have flows put on. Will early 96-98 GT takeoffs fit on my 02, cause if they do ill just go to a junk yard and find the whole thing from the headers back, cats, mufflers, etc

GT takeoff 99-04 v6 conversion kit can be found at www.stangparts.com for $350 including GT rear bumper or the 94-98 kit can be modified to clear the V6 bumper for $185. go to their product inventory section then go to page 4 of induction and exhaust

my suggestion for mufflers is to cut the GT mufflers off and get force mufflers from Jegs

you can get 2 force mufflers for the price of 1 super 40 and they are virtually identical in sound and performance
here is a link
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0265&langId=-1

part#395-5201 2.25" will fit GT takeoffs

Ya but how loud/sweet sounding is the 40 series on the inside of the mustang while driving/idle?
Well, speaking from personal experience, IT SOUNDS SWEET!!!
I thought they were really loud at first, but now I love them! You'll get used to them.

you should look into getting a full system (x-pipe/ h-pipe). That system just comes off your y-pipe and doesn't do much for performance at all.

You really should check out pypesexhaust.com. They have an x-pipe/ dual exhaust system that fits right on to a V6. It has flowmaster 40series knockoffs too. They are called ProV. It only costs like $510 or something. I think that's pretty good for header-back.
