2.3 to 5.0 swap

2.3 to 5.0 swap

Ok guys, this is my first post and a major question: Should I or should'nt I swap out my 88 Mustang 2.3 with my 88 Lincoln 5.0? My lincoln is going to the fire dept to use in a burn simulation and I'm gonna pull the engine and rebuild it, not gonna waste a good engine. Its EFI and all that, I just want some ideas about what I may face in the swap? Any ideas?

Heres the specs on the stang:
1988, 2.3l, 4 speed, LX. Shocks need to be replaced, tranny is strong with a short throw shifter.....

Well, there are other things to consider. You will need a new Tranny, rear end, drive shaft. You will need to upgrade suspension..and there are other things too I bet. It comes down to this, is it worth the money to YOU?
