Default Pre-98/Post-99 3.8 Engine Differences

Hey guys, quick question.

I tried searching and couldn't find a solid answer (probably due to operator error lol) but I have a question on the engine lower half differences.

I know that 99+ came with split port intake, but aside from the lower manifold up, what are the major differences in these motors?

I'm just asking because I have a lower mileage 3.8 from a former 1996 T-bird project sitting in my shop that I'd like to build up to eventually put into my 2000 Stang. I'm 99% sure that they didn't change anything in the lower end but I'd like to verify before getting into this.

Thanks!!

Sorry about the pointless posts, lol. After figuring out the search option I found my answer with the cylinder walls and everything else. Looks like I will have to pull the motor and have a dead car for a while to build it
