02 Mustang is sputtering uphills... Pls Help??
My 02 V6 Mustang is sputtering bad going up hills. My check engine light was on. Took to Auto Zone it said cylinder 1 misfire, so I changed that plug. It also said Code 0125 (Coolant temp sensor, thermostat, or low coolant) so I put coolant in and changed thermostat. I also changed the fuel filter. Maybe 2-3 months ago I got a full tune up, so I'm not sure why this cylinder misfired anyway. Before this my car never overheated, but stayed closer to cold a lot, but I didn't have a check engine light on. The light is out now but sputtering is still there. What else should I check out?

MAF needs to be cleaned?
Well if its sputtering what you mean by sputtering? b/c thats totally different things.
Is it shuttering or sputtering? If shuttering it could be transmission solenoids going bad but I think thats your problem?
I suggest try to change your spark plugs or clean your MAF sensor with MAF sensor cleaner & carefully though its delicate. So spray softly on it & have some distance on the spray it. Also clean your throttle body. Disconnect the battery for 20 minutes, so it well I guess it will read better. Not really necessary but cars are weird so why not. Unless you have a flash tune but probably not.
Really I hope this helps if not I direct you on something else.

More info
Christmas night the check engine light came on, but now driving difference(still driving pretty good). Next day took car to Auto Zone code read cylinder 1 Misfire and code 0125 (coolant low, bad temp coolant sensor or bad thermostat). Next day checked coolant level( it was fine) and added throttle cleaner. The next day it started sputtering, when going up hills. If someone is in my back seat it sputters more. It sounded like a bad gas problem or something so we got the fuel filter changed also the same day we changed the thermostat.
No change except the car warms up much quicker than it did, which is good, made me think it wasn't the sensor. The check engine light went out, but still sputtering. So we just changed the cylinder 1 plugs and the first day no problems, sputtering was gone. Next day sputter came back...Someone told me it could be the coil pack, since I got a full tune up maybe 2-3 mths ago and already a misfire. Transmission switched gears pretty normal. Hope this is enough info to help me solve the problem....Thanks
