Default flywheel - replacement

Sure this has been covered before, but spent 2 days looking at post with no help. Here's problem need to replace clutch, have clutch kit from local shop. But they don't have flywheel available. The mustang is a stock 1995 v6 3.8L, ford made ton of these and still tons on street. But no flywheel available.? Called Sachs N. A. Flywheel # nfw 1173 is replacement with ford #. Suggest call rock auto, they said they don't handle and have never sold any, whiskey tango foxtrock nobody ever replace the flywheel 's come on. Where can I find a new replacement stock flywheel. Do not need steel or aluminum performance. Just want this tang to go forward and reverse. H E L P. H E L P. PLEASE. Ford said 94 - 95 completely differ from 96 - ?(98).

94-04 V6s use the same flywheel. Any local store should have it as Ford made a ton of V6s with the T5 manual tranny.

Spec clutches sells stock steel replacement flywheels. Keep in mind, flywheels are not cheap and usually are resurfaced when the clutch is changed. Only reason to replace it is if it's damaged or worn beyond resurfacing ability.

Checked again with places like auto zone, advance auto, O'Reilley, and several car quest auto stores. Sure is funny they don't list flywheels for v6 - 94 & 95's. I would think they would be the same. Talked with Sachs N.A.and there nfw1173 fits all v6 94-98. Found a nfw1173 from O'Reilly' s. Now find out its not made by Sachs. Sachs broke ties w/O'Reilly a couple years ago. Sachs said they have there's made in china. So gambled and order 1 from O'Reilly made in china also. Due here tomorrow by ups. When pulled will compare and weight fly's. They can be resurfaced, yes this one got so hot it may be too thin after resurfaced., just decided to replace everything. Thanks for confirming they will fit. Will post results.

They may use the same size flywheels but the mid 00-04 use a different p/n due to being internally balanced as to the 94-early 00 cars being externally balanced.

If he goes aftermarket then this doesnt matter as most use the same flywheel and include a removeable balance weight depending on production date.
