What is the difference between single and split port, and how do you tell which version you have?

 

94-98 single...99-04 split port

 

50 Horsepower

 

ACTUALLY its about 45hp-48hp. [8D]

94-95 v6 stangs had 145hp....96-98 had 150hp....99-03 had about 190-192hp and 04 had 193hp

Maybe the single port has a CAI, then its 50. lol

 

maybe a 99 has one too...then its back to my numbers...lmfao

 

what kind of $ it take to convert to split port or would a mechanic have to do the conversion? we are talking about what the intake ?i have no clue..

 

too much...not worth it. Electronics is really what kills you and labor. If you have never done it...you NEED to pay to get it done and they will rape you. Parts alone will be about $1000

 

if u wanna do that u might as well try to find a 99 v6....that is gonna be a lotta money to switch

 

if you want to make it faster go to www.supersixmotorsports.com and check out the 3.8 hi-po power packs for the single port. it will make plenty of power. you can also try www.moranav6racing.com for their single port combo intake manifold, i have not seen it in person but i have seen the dyno sheets and it is a very good gain
