i have heard of some people getting rid of the pcv valve and stuff. what is the point of this?? is it worth it?? any other info on this would be good and interesting. thanks.
Without the PCV, your engine will build up a lot of pressure, and could blow out rings. Positive Crankcase Ventilation is a needed way to discipate the pressure.
yea dont do that my buddy brad did that filter crap and his engine sesed up bad when we were auto crossing so yea dont do that bull when it comes to stuff like that and hyper grouns dont do that ricers crap to try and sneak your way in horse power just be an honest man and buy your mods and buid your motor up the muscle way
I wouldn't delete the PCV valve or put a breather on it, but you can use a "catch can" along the vacuum hose between the PCV and the intake to keep oil residue from building up inside your intake.
I use a catch can on the PCV line and a Sean Hyland breather cap on the passenger-side valve cover. The downside to typical open breathers is they leak oil onto your valve covers and they don't do as good a job at evacuating crankcase vapors as a vacuum source.
