i have heard of some people getting rid of the pcv valve and stuff. what is the point of this?? is it worth it?? any other info on this would be good and interesting. thanks.
From a performance standpoint, it serves no purpose (removing the PCV valve) however, there is a TSB out to address oil being sucked into the intake which has been blamed on detonation.

The best way to address this at this point though (car is out of warranty) is to add an oil/air seperator or 'can' as someone else referred to it here. Unless you find oil in the PCV line though I wouldn't even do that.

thanks for the post. i think i actually have one of those filters laying around, cause i was going to use it as a fuel filter on my truck, but instead bought a better fuel filter. it would be super easy to put on, but would it be worth it in the long run??
