Default Getting Sponsered

My friend just got sponsered. He said that I should get sponsered. Should I get sponsered under him or should I go under myself.

I think he's saying that if you do it do it for the car, not just to say hay man I got a sponsor and get loads of cash for my car. In other words be modest. Also let him help you out, but don't let him "be your boss,"
