Spings?

RE: Spings?
Im getting my '00 v6's suspension done this wednsday (actually now friday because of the hurricane). I wanted to conquer my cars biggest weakness first being handling, and second being airflow in (intake) and out(exhaust). The domestic specialist at my local shop told me that every mustang he has ever worked on used the Eibach pro kit. That is just the springs, the shocks are what really give you the handling edge over the other stock cars. I say go with the eibach pro kit, it will lower your car about 1 - 1.5 and give your car a more aggresive stance without sacrificing performance. Dont get the eibach sport line, it will cost you money in tires, in the future. That being said, the eibach pro kit will give you the nice appearance and a little better handling, but if you want the handling edge get the full kit that comes with the shocks like I did. Installation is a 6-8 hour process, im getting a good deal on the intallation at $175.

Just rent a spring compressor from autozone (it was free at my autozone after we returned it once done) and do it yourself. Well, I can't really speak for a mustang, I haven't changed mustang springs and shocks. But on a civic the process was very simple and got the job done in a little more than half a day. I'm assuming a mustang spring install wouldn't take much longer, you save a lot of money in the end skipping the installation fees.
We did have to recamber or whatever so the tires lay flat on the ground, but that is just a small side effect of lowering. Of course alignment is done at a shop, don't have access to tools for that.

I did my Sprint Performance 2" drop springs myself. If you have a floor jack and a couple jack stands, it's not hard to do. Now I need camber plates, I just haven't gotten around to it yet, LOL.
edit" I didn't need a spring compressor.

RE: Spings?
As with everything else in the world of cars everybody is going to give you a different opinion. I never got the chance to lower my Stang, but I've always heard good things about both Eibach and Steeda.
