im driving a 2003 v6 auto mustang..and im getting like 13 mpg (Street)....is that normal or is that way low...i do drive agressive..but 13mpg? i have to fill up 10 dollors a day just go get to and from work..i was told that AC eats a lot of gas...is that true? is there something wrong with my car? any suggestions?

 

That sounds a little low because my 2000 gets like 17 and I drive with my ac on and pretty agressive

are u stock? something is wrong cuz thats really low...u may want to get some fuel injector cleaner ..its only like 2-3 bucks at a gas station...if that doesnt work u may wanna check ur o2 sensors...if that fails, u prolly just need an old fashioned tune-up

 

i got way more than that with my 98 v6. hell, i get 21mpg+ with my blown GT.

do you still have your air silencer in or no, when was the last time you replaced the air filter?, the screen in the intake? the plugs and wires?

 

i bought this car used about 3 weeks ago...13k miles, perfect condit..not salvg or anything...everything runs great exept the MPG...i havnt replaced or checked anything yet..im goign in for a checkup this sat...

 

13k on an 03? That's really low. At least you know it wasn't a rental, because they usually turn the cars in at around 18 to 20k.

 

I used to get only like 15mpg when I bought my car. Now I get about 19 with my mods.

 

Well that is low, just for chits and giggles last week I put in a full tank of 93 octane and I hit 407 miles on the tank when I filled up, I only had about .5 gallons left though, and yes that was with a little flooring it involved. This week we were out of 93, so I bought 89 and it looks like I'll be filling up at about 325 again, damn!
