Default 2004 Help! Intermittent starting issues

Thank you in advance for your help.

Over the past week or so, my car sounds like it wants to start but doesn't engage. Yesterday it started and worked fine, even last night when the temperature was really cold; it had a little trouble and eventually started.

We have checked the battery, alternator, and starter at autozone and they said it is working fine. There was a "pending" code when they checked the engine, but that may have been caused by removing the battery.

Now, I thought that it was the Anti-Theft system at first because when I disconnected the battery - it would start. This worked for the past couple days but then today...nothing.

Checked the fuses and they all look great.

So the long and short: car cranks and doesn't start, no apparent issues.
