Default front strut

i am going to be lowering my car anywhere from 1' to 1.25', and was wondering if getting a tower strut would help me out on handling and steering, and if it was worth it. also what else might i want in the suspension/handling department.

The struts are not what lowers your car. It's the springs. I have Rousch racing springs. They lowered the front 1.5" and rear .75".

i know they don't lower my car, that isn't what i was asking. i asked if they would help improve steering, and if it was worth getting, or if there was anything else i would need. i got the springs.

OHHH..sorry. Still, unless the struts are bad, you are better off going with camber plates.

It's kinda hard to explain. For me anyway. But if you PM Hot_rRods_and_Booze, he can explain it a lot better than most. Or AutoBadges!

What springs did you get? How much will they lower it?
Oh..word of warning, be a little careful getting in and out of the car for the first couple of days. I almost tripped a couple of times! LOL

But can't you also "customize" the alignment with them. Ie: add an additional 1 or 2 degrees of camber? With my old Somerset, we had to elongate the mounting bolt holes on the struts to get an extra degree of camber. And it tool like 2 hours with a dremel to do all 4 holes.
