front strut
i haven't decided if i want to go with the ford c springs or the mac. i want to lower my car close to 1.5, but if it was only like 1.4 or something that would be fine. would i need to get cc plates for that right off the bat, or could i wait a little bit?
I think I remember if you don't go more then 1.5" you can adjust your "toe out" with the stock adjusters. I went 2" and I need them. Now that I have a 2" drop, I'd never gohigher. It looks f**king awesom.
well your front tires will be like this when you lower it about 1.5" / \ so they are going to wear out UNevenly..meaning the OUTSIDE of the tires will have all the pressure and wear out there...and the middle will be like new.
If you are going to lower it...PERSONALLY I would save the time and hassle and do the following all together.
Lowering Springs
Shocks and Struts
Castor Camber Plates
When you lower it...the ride quality lessens so the shocks and struts are a real must...b/c on a bump you will hit harder than you think. And the CC plates make everything balance out. When installation springs the shocks and struts are LITERALLY like 6 inches away and you have to take it all out to do swaps so its killing two birds with one stone!
meaning when you swap out shocks and structs you have to pull off your stock springs to get to them....well when they do that....they merely up the NEW springs back in instead of the stock ones...BAM! then just align with cc plates.
ps we can get it all for you

Good advise ^^^^^^
I didn't get new struts and I'll have to pull them back out now. I didn't think I'd need them for only 2", but now my shock center point is off and it does effect the ride quite a bit. C/C plates are easy though.

ah to many choices. what if i just got ford c-springs, and bought the c/c plates a few months later? you think that would be ok?

do you think it would wear real bad in that months period? are the c/c plates something i can install, or something i need to have done?
