I recently bought a 2000 3.8l mustang, the previous owner did a number of things to it from wheels, tires, brakes, an exhaust and a lsd. Given that im tempted to say the previous owner installed a short throw shifter but im not entirely positive on that but ive damn near money shifted a handful of times and sometimes its hard to find 3rd gear. Now it really could just be me as a driver but in my last vehicle i only almost money shifted once and that was when i was first learning to drive the car. Im curious as to if that could be a problem with the way the shifter is or not but idk ****s really annoying tho.

 

Could just be a bad shifter. Invest in one that you believe in and see how you like it then.
