Default 1994 lower torque boxes

I have been told that my lower toque boxes look rough from age and is something that should be fixed 'sooner than later'. I removed the surface rust, do they look bad?

Hard to see how bad they are by the picture, you could always get a set of torque box reinforcers though if you're concerned with them. Or replace them, they aren't that expensive but seems like they'd be a bit of a pain in the *** to install
