Default KAM low voltage

I have a stock v6 2004 convert that has the service engine soon light and 1633 KAM low voltage code. Runs normal, has the trip reset to zero and the slow to react gas Guage. How do I solve this, the battery is brand new voltage gauge reads normal. I did blow a fuse to the trunk release button in the glove box, but I don't know if it's related. I need to fix this to get a NYS inspection

If it were mine, I'd check the alternator voltage while the engine is running. Normally, it'll be about 14 to about 14.7 or so if everything is okay. Also, it there is a whine in the AM radio, it could be a bad diode pack, albeit rare.
