Computer Tune
Well I would sure like to know how, my turner and as well as Harvey's (yellowpony) is married in a since to our ecu and our ecu only. Yea you could tune another car, but then to do that, you would have to restore your stock settings before you can do somebody elses car.

I second that! And, YES, you can use your tuner on more than one car...as long as it's the same type of vehicle...

Stock it's 5800 RPM. Booze has his set at 6300, and I have mine set at 6250. That don't mean we hit it all the time. BUT, IF you're in a race, it will help a LOT. I don't know about the pre 99's, but the 99-04's can definatly take it. I also set my shift pressures at 80psi across the board. And I do use that a lot. And have had no problems yet. It's sweet to ahve your V6 bark second and third gear shifts!
If you go that way, just be careful in the rain/snow when you corner. It is real easy to lose the rear end!! I KNOW!!! I almost bit it against a tree![:@] Unless your bud knows what he's doing, and has an Air/Fuel meter, stay away from the F/I settings. You can really do damage if they are off even just a bit. Have a pro do that.

Ya I've got a buddy in my fraternity that has a several thousand dollar computer that came out of his grandpa's shop that can tune pretty much any cars computer, and he has done it on several cars now. Im just trying to figure out some some of the settings to start with so I dont have to guess and check so much. 6250 for a rev limiter seems really high, what is stock?

right now I just have a Mac CAI, and Im taking it in for a full 60,000 mile tuneup. after that hes gunna install the chip, and from here on out I have to use premo gas. So if he puts the chip in will it do something for the CAI? and not too soon after this im getting a true dual setup with and offroad x-pipe, so will I have to retune my chip to get results out of the exhaust?
