You're more than likely going to be looking at the EVAP canister purge solenoid. An easy way to test it is to apply vacuum to it, and then apply battery voltage to it. When you apply the voltage, you should lose the vacuum. Sometimes you will have it fail intermittently, so just because it tests fine one time doesn't mean it will the next.

I saw something under the hood that may be it. Round,black with hoses coming in /out horizontally toward the top and a connector, It is mounted by the passenger side firewall

took the little thingy out and with 12 volts it cliks on off sometimes so I beat it with a hammer handle and sprayed some silicone into it. It openend and closed fine on the bench,
I pulled the battery wire for a while now I am waiting for the CEL to go on again.
I read that some problems require several driving cycles to work themselves out of the system or for the light to go on again[:'(]

i replaced the evap purge solenoid & that fixed the code.
