Default personal experience Single to Split

how much does anyone know from personal experience or from just theory how much hp would upgrading to split port injection in my 98 v6, cuz thats the main thing seperating the 94-98s from the 99-01s so it should add, in theory, around 30 hp at leasT? andwould this be worth the money for the hp, if i did it myself, if its that easy for a do it yourself project.

also another question since i was starting a new post....i was thinkin about cuttin off my stock exhaust right before the cats but it still wont be a week or two before i get a new exhaust and was wondering if it would sound horrible or just plain bad

stock parts say about $600 or so....but the labor is the worst part swapping it all out

it would be extremely loud and your inside would make you deaf

ok im going to be doing this swap and the parts total cost me $400 heads, intake manifolds, injectors, injector harness, maf, tb, fuel rail. no obviouslyi cant use the fuel rail unless i change the fuel system itself so im getting a custom one made. all the parts are being p&p. the shop i used to work at is going to be doing the install and installing a cam for about $500 total. it helps to know people

cutting off your exhaust?? Well I am the expert at that haha I cut my bros off his 90 5.0 firebird sounds AWESOME my old buddies exhaust on his cav. yea I cut that off for him, and I cut my exhaust off my 96 3.8 that I had it sounded like SHAT and I cut some of my exhaust off my 2000 3.8 that I have now and it sounds pretty decent. Its up to you but I think my 96 sounded terrible and not only that but if you sit in traffic alot or anything you will have exhaust fumes seeping into your car

I put teh clutch in myself it is a real nice clutch IMO it grabs well and even when I beat the SHI* out of it, it is still solid and takes a long time to get really heated up to where you can smell it burning... how much you paying for yours if you dont mind me asking??

I got the clutch kit for 150, and im getting it installed monday for 200 (which is an awsome deal by the way... i have connections )

...but anyway, im just wondering, can I ask them to lower my clutch pedal because its so damn high, my friggin knee always hits the steering wheel. Its so annoying!!!

you need to buy a adjustable clutch cable to lower the grab point and they are bout $75-$100. I got my clutch for $160. in total and I did the labor myself like I said before...

also porsche I cut all of the exhausts off with either a hacksaw or a reciprocating saw. I cut my exhaust on my current car off right after the muffler, so the exhaust is actually right before the rear axle. Like I said it sounds pretty decent and looks pretty cool when it is cold out cuz it comes out of the wheel well
