I am sure that if you did want to buy a adjustable cable Autobadges could get one for you and you would prolly get the hook up from him too

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can put a split port in the 94-98s. I looked under the hood of my buddies 2000, and it's basically the same, but a lot of the surrounding parts and accessories are either totally different, or they are in a different location. It may work, but it would be hard and would cost a butt load of money because you will have to get a pro to do it, that way if they screw up, they pay for it.

actully its basically the exact same motor, one of the big differences besides the heads and intake manifolds is the fact that the 98 has a return for the fuel system while the 99+ have a returnless fuel system other than that its pretty simple but i would suggest a cam swap when doing this too just cuz your into the motor anyway why not go a little further. umm your looking with it p&p and a cam i think over 100+ hp dont qoute me on that though

hmm p&p upper and lower intakes, new cam...but i have looked at some pics of the 3.8 in the 99-01s and it looks maybe like jthorn said that some of the other parts are in diff locations so im not sure if it would fit or not....i think i could do it myself though depending how many hrs a mechanic would charge to do it, saying theyre usually 55-80 bucks an hour...but if anyone, particularly maybe a mechanic or someone thats done it knows if it can or cant be done for sure, let me know...and would you need to buy stock parts off a 99+ or some performance cam and p&P upper and lower? stroker kit as well and maybe twin turbos or is this possible ?

I would get performance parts, but that's just me, also, before you even do this, go to a Ford dealer and ask to see under the hood of a 99-04 so you can see what I'm talking about, then ask a mechanic and see what they say. Like I said, I'm not sure it will work, sure you could make it work, but not easily. My best advice is to just port out your single port upper and lower intake, ported heads, add in a performance camshaft and you'll be good to go. Also change out those problemattic parts that you have. If it will work, I'm thinking you will basically have to rip out almost everything under your hood, and then set it up like a 99-04, see, like I said, it will work, but not easily.

it is not a hard swap at all. fuel system is a main thing to look at you will get more power with this setup p&p with a cam then u will with the single port. ive looked under the hoods of both cars. i used to work at a shop all we worked on were domestics. have taken 4yrs of mechanics im not saying im a complete expert by any means but i do know a thing or 2
