There is a guy in the wanted for sales forum who is selling his 97 cobra for $11500 the car has 55K on it and looks awesome, well except the front bumper and the hood, sorry not a big fan of the Cobra's design, but I have really been looking into GTs and Cobras and since I want to stay with the sn95s I think this would be my best option. The insurence would only be about $150 more every six monts, and the guy said the car gets about 300 miles to the tank hwy, and he has about 1 or 2 gallons left in there, so i'm thinking about 330 miles per tank or about 20 mpg, yea I know its a step down in those two areas from my six, but those cars are bad as hell, and the best thing is, I would be the only one around here with a real sn95 style Cobra, we have tons of sixers and GTs and look a like saleens, but no real cobras or saleens. I just want to know if you guys think it is a good deal. I'm still debating on what would come of my six, like keep the six, and use the cobra for my weekend party and GT, Camero, and ricer killer, or sell the six and make the Cobra my primary car.

 

hmmm...if you can afford it and it's in good condition then why not?

 

yeah, if you want it, go for it. just get it checked out real good first and if all is ok then get that beast.

 

get the cobra and keep the 6 for everyday if you can afford it

it's gonna take some pretty good mods to beat an LS-1 Camaro/TA LT-1's should be a good match but the LS-1 is a monster

 

buy it , just be aware of the insurance costs, which will probably increase if you get caught racing that's y i didn't want a v8 it's like 200 higher every 6 months which blows

 

id get it aint to bad a price for the mile not tomention thats a beaste if you have the money to mod it

 

Just remember. If you keep them both, you'll be paying insurance on each one....

 

get it those cobras have 300 horsepower stock..... with a few minor mods u will be killing everything on the street. maybe i should sell my car and get it

 

Well I'm negotiating with him right now, but he already has pulleys, a cai, borla exhaust, mac h pipe[:'(], and a few other things, so he is probably pushing 300 rwhp, but he still gets decent gas milage, and I already figured out liability only, which is what I have right now, will only be about $150 more ever six months, and for the value, I can more than afford it. Hell I make $700 every two weeks, and that's being in school.

 

Oh one more thing, I wasn't planning on beating LS1s or vetts, I know I'll be toast there, but since we only have 1 LS1 in the whole southeast part of LA that I know about, and about 10 vetts, in the local area, I don't have much to worry about. But for once those GT a hole will have something to fear, and ricers, bring them all on. If I do get the car, don't worry about me leaving the forums, I think I'll have every GTer in here pi**ed off at me, so I'll probably have to sit here and party with you guys, man pay back is a biaotch.
