I just bought a Superchips tuner off ebay and from the information that was on the site it said that he had it for his 99 mustang. Well after recieve it, the box said it's for the 2004 3.9L mustang. Is this backwards compatible or do I have to sell this thing and go without one for a while. This sucks if this doesn't work.

Call SCT. If it's non-compatable, I'm sure there are a couple of guys here that would buy it from you. And be sure to leave NEGATIVE feedback on the seller!!!

It is not compatible. The only tuner Superchips makes for a V6 is model 1724, and it only works with a 2004 3.9L. For a 2000 3.8L you must use a Diablo Predator or SCT XCal 2.

yeah, that's correct sir. you should contact him to see if he'll take it back, unless you think you can get more money for it.
