Default performance stuff

I just got a V6 3.8L 1995 Mustang and I was wanting to make it faster. I was wondering if anyone could give me more information of where I can find the stuff or to just look up on it.

Very funny. LOL I was wanting to know what else I can put in it. I'm not very mechanically inclined since I'm a female. What would you prefer, a supercharger or a turbo charger? What is the differences in both of them and the advantages and disadvantages? But I know NOS will be cheaper but I want my motor to last longer and to make it more.........reliable in the long run.

A guy ay my work told me not to put NOS on my car because it might blow up my engine. Yall still haven't answered my question. Which is better, TurboCharger or a supercharger? I want something that will look good.

Like it was put to me once, "Speed cost money. How fast do you want to spend?"

I personally, would probably go with a blower/supercharger. With turbos you tend to have some lag on take-off before the turbo gets boost built up.

As far as looks go, to me their just that, looks. But, if you want something to scream out "HEY, LOOK WHAT I'VE GOT!", then I'm sure that the manufacturer of which ever setup you decide to go with also has them in crome or polished aluminum.

A roots stye blower with an air to water inter-cooler no only would kick some *** but if you got it polished would deffinetly become the focal point in your engine compartment.

With any kind of forced air intake you are going to haveextra heat. Hot air is not as dense as cool or cold air and therefore dosen't make as much power. Preasurizing the air, regardless of temp, is going to make more power Be sure that when it's done, it is installed as a system. (ie: MAS, Thottle body, injectors, fuel preasure reg, fuel pump, computer, etc.) You mentioned that you weren't very mechanically inclined so be sure the shop you take it to knows what the hell they're doing.

As far as nitrious goes, if it's done right, according to the directions supplied with the kit, it would be difficult to screw it up. I don't know on V-6's specificly, but with a V-8a person could go with as much as 150 shot and not have to worry much. I say much because if you spin the tires real bad, and are dumb enuogh to stay on the gas, then you are going to over rev the engine and possibly have parts of your motor try to leave the engine. That goes for any engine really.

If speed and power are your real objectives and your really hung up on the V-6 thing go for a blown and nitrous feed power plant. 850hp from a V-6... give me a 'hell ya'.......1350hp from a V-8 with the same stuff..... OOHHH HEELLLL YYYAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!

How deep are your pockets again? It's easy to spend someone elses money.

Hope this helped in any way, and good luck

a guy at your work is a ricer idiot. the only thing i would even botherto useon that is nitrous. why buy a turbo or supercharger...they cost as much as the car itself
