More than you'll be able to mod your car to, but just incase you still want to know, I think its around 500hp.

All mustangs have a solid rear end axel so there are no independent rear ends for stangs.

So do the 99-02 Cobra's. So you really think the 7.5 can hold up 500hp? If thats true then why do people like to swap out to the 8.8 rearends. the only reason i can think of is because they come with posi.

there was no 02 cobra, i actually dont even think there was an 01 cobra, too lazy to go google it right now, but the 7.5 can hold a bit more HP then the 7.5, you also have more gear options for the 8.8. 3.55, 3.73 3.90, 4.10, 4.30, 4.56 on top of the 7.5 which has for aftermarket 3.45, 3.73, 4.10, 4.56

there was no 2000 cobras and only a few 02 cobra's made for racing out of the U.S.

setup properly the 7.5 can handle alot of power. it's limit really isn't known because there are few people that have pushed these rears. most swap in the 8.8.

once beefed up with a detroit locker or truetrac or auburn proseries,TA girdle and stud kit, the limiting part will be the 28 spline axles. unfortunately there are no 31 spline carriers available for the 7.5 as of yet

that is the advantage that the 8.8 has is the ability to run 31 or 33 spline axles. as far as the differential goes the 7.5 will handle just about anything a 28 spline 8.8 can handle

the ford T-lok is only good for mild levels on a 5spd. they will handle ore on an automatic but they are still weak. the 7.5 needs a strong aftermarket differential like a Detroit or it will just blow the spyders sooner or later

5.13 gears are available for the 7.5 also. 3.08's,2.73's,and 3.27's are all available too for the 7.5 but only from ford or used
