My best suggestion is to take another car out and learn to drive in the snow before attempting a mustang. I learned in my first car, which was a beater, and now when it comes to driving in the snow I can handle anything, even in the stang.

You can't be TOLD how to drive in the snow, you have to learn how on your own.
i disagree, if you can learn to drive a stang or maro in the snow you can drive anything

I went to Atlanta over the weekend and it was a high of 30, with a wind chill factor of about 20. That was unbarable. I dont see how you can survive -60.
My advice to anyone who doesnt know how to drive in the snow would be to move to Miami or something.

I don't disagree with that. But I think it's a lot better for him to learn in a car that he isn't worried about wrecking, atleast on the first trip out in the snow. It's hard to drive in snow period, even worse in a stang. Most of the time it's everyone else to worry about, but he doesn't wanna put the stang in danger if he isn't sure what to do in those conditions. []

My stang has had some serious scares in the snow, it's NOT fun. lol. []

I don't mind a good fishtail, but only in open space where nobody can hit me etc.

Just be extremely defensive when you drive in the snow. People get really STUPID in rain and snow, I don't know what it is, but a lot of people really can't handle precipitation.

Just take it slow too- I don't care if SUVs go flying by me at 70 mph... I'll still go 20 if I have to because i'm NOT wrecking/flipping my car. People who know what its like to drive a sports car in snow won't make fun of you for that.

heh. i live in kansas. driving around on post during snow is funny. im in the military, therefore there are people from all over the country in one place. most of them cant drive in the snow for ****. luckily, either the snow trucks come out and sand the road... or we get the day off at noon.

being in the military does have it's advantages. i dont know of any other job that will give you a month off every year, with another 15-20 days off (that are always friday/monday giving you 3/4 day weekends)
