Snow help!!!!!!
hey guys, we got the first good snow in TN last night. im from TX all my life so i dont know how to drive in the snow worth ****, and my parents are'nt much better. any tips so i can actually go somewhere?
When slowing down and ur car starts to slide dont lay ur foot on the brakes... the best thing to do is to pump the brakes and just keep it in control so u dont hit anything.... and dont **** around like doing donuts or some **** like that... lol cuz i did in my last car and i ****ed up my rim, strut... and some other thing i dont know whats it called and it costed me around 300-400 bucks to fix it... unless u find a good size parking lot and just have fun there....
dont wreck
but seriously, in the stang, keep the TC on, O/D off, and when starting off from a stop use 2 instead of 1 on an auto because it will hold second gear and the tires will be less eger to spin do you have ABS? if you do dont pump the breaks. go into a big abandoned parking lot and play around, if you can afford it get snow tires and some weight for the back, or a winter beater but the 6ers are better in the snow then the GT because of the peg leg diff and narrower tires.
wrong...

Get a front wheel drive winter beater.
Get a front wheel drive winter beater.
Really? interesting.
I got my stang in april and decided in the fall to keep her inside for the winter. Its never been out in a winter and I think Im gonna keep it that way. It sure is hard not being able to drive it almost half the year, not to mention the mods I have waiting to install.
WHEN WILL WINTER BE OVER!!!

My stang absolutely suck in winter. I have 255/45/17' and boy do they push the snow. the TC doesnt really help much either. I mean it is driveable but I have to drive real slow since my tires like to NOT grip haha THe best thing I can say is to take your car into a HUGE empty parking lot where you will not get in trouble and get her sideways and learn how to correct it. and spin out and learn how to control a spin that is all that you can really do. AND DO NOT DRIVE FAST OR PUNCH IT WHEN IT IS WET,ICEY, OR SNOWING OUT!!!!!! Learn how to brake in the parking lot and just get use to it. Good luck btw it is helpful for traction to get some ice melt or sand and throw it in your trunk. It is also helpful if you do happen to get stuck this way you can take a bag out and open it and throw it under you tires to get some traction. Good luck and drive careful its not worth wreckin the stang just to punch it and show off til you know how to control you back end sliding sideways.

dont do it unless you know how to drive, its actually easier sometimes to swing the rear end out a little bit to turn a corner, just make sure there is no one on the road
My best suggestion is to take another car out and learn to drive in the snow before attempting a mustang. I learned in my first car, which was a beater, and now when it comes to driving in the snow I can handle anything, even in the stang.
You can't be TOLD how to drive in the snow, you have to learn how on your own.
