You can rebuild yours using tougher internals.

Default RE: turbo

tougher internals isnt the issue, its compression

the turbo engines run 8.0:1 compression, the N/A 2.3's run something like 9.5:1 if i remember correctly.

its best to swap the turbo engine in, and work from there

look for the article that works best for your application

very true. mine is a dual plug turbo that i bought as it sits and i've had it like 2 years and put about 20,000 miles on it and have no idea how they got it to run as well as it does. i didn't think you could tune the stock computer, but it runs so well, i don't see how it's not tuned.

anyway i know youll at least have to find somewhere to feed oil to the turbo and you'll have to put a return back in the oil pan. you'll need an exhaust manifold, downpipe, and the rest of the exhaust. piping to get the air into the intake, and if you're doing a front mount, you'll either have to buy pipes already made or make your own. forged pistons at the least, you should get valves to be on the safe side, and a good headgasket for sure. then you'll probably want bigger injectors and an aftermarket mass air meter. mucho work. just find a donor 2.3 turbo car and swap it if you're that interested in going turbo
