Rebuilding 2.3L...question about it though
I had the same problem ..
I got the 2.3 89 model I was gonna just add on turbo an ****
but now Im bout ta just swap the enjin
can I throw a 5.0 into a lx what other mods would I need too do it though I heard its like a thousand other things you gotta do ? lololol

yes a 5.0 will fit into any fox chassis. you will need to change the suspension, exhaust, rear end is highly suggested, tranny, wiring harness, and a buttload of other misc crap.
I especially wouldn't go buy a NEW turbo and try putting it on a NA block, not worth all that $. Swap the motor with a 2.3T like everyone says. Once you do that, if you want to upgrade to a bigger/new one it's alot easier....

i have a 79 2.3t and im only running 8 lbs of boost at 150 hp at the crank there was a 91 in mm&ff that was pumping 24lbs at like 330 hp. so power is easy to come by if you start with a stock turbo setup
