Step one..jack up car
Step 2, remove lugnuts and wheels
Step 3 remove caliper bolts, and hang caliper as not to let it hang by the brake lines
Step 4 remove caliper bracket bolts and bracket.
Step 5 (skip if rotors have been removed before) remove 2 retaining clips on lug studs
Step 6 remove old rotors
Step 7Clean new rotors of any grease or debris
Step 8 install new rotors
Step 9 clean caliper mounting brackets and pad tensioning plates
step 10 reinstall caliper mounting brackets, and torque bolts to about 80ft/lbs
Step 11 apply liberal amounts of Disc Brake Quiet to the back of new pads
Step 12 apply white lithium grease to pad tensioner plates
Step 13 install new pads
Step 14 Using the proper tools, press caliper pistons back into the calipers
Step 15 reinstal the calipers and torque bolts to aboot 20 ft/lbs, but no more
Step 16 reinstal the wheels and lug nuts Tighten lug nuts to aboot 80ft/lbs each, then recheck
Step 17 Remove jacks from under car
Step 18 depress the brake pedal several times so the new pads make contact with the new rotors
Step 19 make sure brake fluid reservoir is to the full mark
step 20..test drive and enjoy!

Well, since you NEVER have to open the system, you DON'T need to bleed the system now, do you?[sm=owned.gif]

When you go to compress the caliper pistons back down if you do not open the master cylinder cap to releive pressure off the system when you do this. If your not doing this , you need to , your asking for trouble. I've done a couple of brake jobs in my time.......

Actually, on some systems, if you forget to remove the M/C cap, the fluid will just vent through it. But, ok. you guys caught me on that one. Call it step 13 1/2...
Oh, and I've only done about 700 brake jobs..give or take 100....maybe 200...

BURRRRRRRRRRRP! And no, you need not do that either. Since you don't open the system, air cannot get into it. Just may have to clean up the mess if the cylinder overflows. But I usually remove as much fluid from the cylinder as I can before compressing the caliper pistons.
