Default Throttle body

I have a 99 3.8L V6 that I want to replace the throttle body on. What is the best and what will give me the best performance. I am not sure what size I should purschase or brand.

Thanks
Erik

Read the thread. Unless you do some mods, it's a waste of money. You will see NO improvement. BBK is the only one so far that I've seen that makes a larger one for the 6ers. I could be wrong on that one. REMEMBER, if you do get the BBK 65mm or any other larger T/B, you will NEED to port the intake. If you don't you will LOSE performance.

EDIT
Would have been nice if I gave you the link to the thread in question..here it is..

Yes, to really see any improvements in HP, I say get a CAI, a 42% size reduced crank pulley, and a true flow dual exhaust (see the stickies up at the top of the V6 forum main page, or the page where you select a topic to talk about), then get a handheld tuner. Then this mod you should do all at once, get a 70mm or 65mm TB, depending on where you buy will depend on which one you can get) then go to either rpm-mustangs.com or supersixmotorsports.com and get a port matched upper intake, or in other words you intake will match the inlarged TB, a ported lower intake, ported heads, a mild tune cam, and at least #21lb fuel injectors, I reccommend getting an 80mm MAF set to 24lb injectors, and get 24lb fuel injectors, now you will need to get a shop to install this and reset your air to fuel mixture, but all in all, the basic bolt ons and the tuner will get you 10-20 hp depending on how responsive your engine is to each mod. The ported intake, heads, TB, cam, and 80mm MAF, is supposed to fetch you around 70-80 rwhp, but I say that you'll get about 12 for the basic bolt ons, and about 40rwhp for the ported kit and the cam, just to let you know, the cam is the hp generator, the porting increases airflow which will increase hp slightly, and the TB increases input airflow, which will net you about 5-10 rwhp.

BBK STOPPED MAKING THE 70MM. IF YOU ORDER ONE, YOU WILL GET THE 65MM INSTEAD!

No, you can get a ported GT 70mm TB from rpm-mustangs.com, but yea, BBK stop making 65mm TBs.
