Wrong Gear
O.k, I find this really weird, I'm driving my '99 Conv. Stang 3.8L 5spd (papers say its gt, not really sure if it is any one know) n.e ways, i'm driving normally shift from 2nd to 3rd, all good, i want to shift to 4th, and I find my self shift back to 2nd, is it me, did i completely have a brain fart, or could it be something else? This has never happened to me before, I catched my self doing it 3 more times after that, but i can feel it, and shift into the correct gear. Also i know this cant be good for my tranny, any ideas? or is it me and i should smack my self upside my head?
kewl, thnx didnt know the difference between the v6 and gt, first american car i own, I have only owned jap cars in the past. Just so i know the v6 does come w/ around 190hp right? Dont really care, just wondering. it also says its the 35th yr anneversary edition, dont know if that's special
it shouldn't shift to 2nd from third, it's probably you. just calm down when you shift and let teh shift pattern do the work not you. by that i mean just slowly pull the stick back from third and it will slide right into 4th.
nothing very special about the 35th anniversary, other than that is a pretty damn long time for a car to be in production
. yes you have 190 hp.

lol, kewl, yeah like i said I haven't had this problem before, clutch pull the stick shift back boom shifting good, it might just be me, I'll see if i get the same thing on my way home... it was friggin crazy though the first time i went from 3rd to 2nd it felt like i pulled the ebrake. luckily i put it back in neutral quickly but it didn't want to change back to any gear 3rd, 2nd, or 4th, so i just drove it till it was slow enough to go to 1st then everything was good... Short shifter doesn't seem like a bad idea, may look into getting one pretty soon.
