well, after my 4 thousand dollar kick in the nuts today, I may decide to change my plans, put a bullet in the Saleen 232 idea and go with a 5.0 swap. I dont know exactly what I am gonna do right at this exact moment, but I'm here every night, so I'll fill people in as the days unfold. I just need to see where i am at with time and money before I turn any wrenches and make any decisions...

I was pissed, guy called me just before I got into work so it only made my day worse, it was already bad to start with becuase I jsut got news this morning that my great aunt died last night[:@]

I would too, but the 4K kick in the nuts was a metaphor.. thats how much the shop I called wants to do the work on my car... I might as well drop trousers and grab my ankles... cuz thats what it feels like...[:@][:@]

 

maybe you actually need to step away from your baby, get off this forum for a few days, and occupy your time with something a bit more positive or, at least, different. do a little brain flush. it may actually help you get a perspective on things and aid you in making a good decision.

I just did this with a three day camping trip. we went on a river tubing venture without knowing the lake above us released the floods. we'd like to drown. fortunately all five of us escaped with our lives (one was rescued)

it put things in perspective for me. but you don't need to be that dramatic....

You can still do a saleen body kit. Now you can just have a faster saleen. I know 5.0s are everywhere, but you know when a nice one drives by you still turn your head and look. That could be your car.

 

I still will do the saleen kit, I love the looks of an '86 saleen, but since a real one costs two arms and a kidney, I'll make one[8D]

I'm not gonna step away from my ride just yet, that was just one shop who obviously was trying to rip me off, but there is always somewhere else or I can simply roll up my sleeves when I dont have work and get nice and dirty and do it myself, like a manly man [8D]

gotta make a budget, but thats gonna wait a while, tomorrow I work a double, and wednesday I have to go to Jersey
