Why do people say mustangs are bad cars?

Public perception is generally: American cars = crap, Imports = reliable.
In some cases it's true, but not always. In the case of the mustang, the 99-04, and 05+ are very reliable, especially if you stay on top of your maintenance. And the 05+ even handle really well, considering the rear axle setup.

I love my mustang to death and it just hit 160k on it and still runs like a champ. I'm going to keep it as long as it runs. But when i get in the army i'm going to give it to my brother and buy me a older mustang. I have a friend here in my town that has a mustang with 300k on it and its his daily driver still.
