Default 4.2 m112....R.I.P.

Well it appears that this motor is done. I have blown a head gasket and atleast 1 ring has failed on me. I know there is a new generation of MF'ers but I know the older guys know I have had terrible luck building my car.

Well I've decided to stop taking the affordable, easy ways out, and build a more reliable, even faster setup. I am going to buy the stage 2 ssm heads, ssm intake, and cam from Nathan.

Then I will purchase the forged 4.3 long rod internals from Neuharth.

After the bottom end is put together, I am going to buy the updated lower blower plate from Matt. And while I'm at it, I might as well decrease the pulley size.

I am also going to buy a built 4R70W to hold my power. ( I am also tired of killing transmissions)

Im taking my original 3.8 shortblock apart this weekend, and i am taking it to Scottsville, KY to get the .30 overbore for the 4.3 internals. I will take pics and continue to update this thread throughout my long and stressfull project lol.

yep. but the more i think about it. i dont know if i have that bad of luck. i think its just where ive been buying the cheapest parts. it always comes back to bite me.

I want to say, "i told you so," but since I didn't ever tell you so, i won't say that I did lol.

And WhoTF is Neuharth and why are you only going with Stage 2 heads? Go all out and get the stage 3's man. Are gonna run the 218/224 cam or the 212/218?

BTW how much does nathan want for that top end, I may snake you on it and send it to Tom for Stage III treatment lol

matt neuharth, from delk, he had the first v6 in the 9s, its a white single port.
