should've stayed with the dolphins, can;t recall the last time I've heard of a bottlenose attack.
Was about three weeks ago down here
I had to catch two by hand to move them from the 250,000 gallon to our 600,000 gallon display. Nowbody here had ever done it, so I was teaching them. Second one got loose enough from my bear hug that it could hit me repeatedly with it's head... right at my jaw line and right shoulder. My neck on that side is all black and blue now, and it cut the skin right across my jugular. I'm lucky it didn't go any deeper, or there would have been a major issue.
Me coming up to the surface with the first shark (my head is poking out of the water):
Yeah, I've been torn up like that before too. Usually when we bringing them out of the water, I've been ripped in the legs once or twice from when we first got them on the boat/barge, gotta love that awesome skin. I usually teach people about sharks by telling them to lightly rub it BACK to front, they learn really quick how to hold them lol. It's almost blacktip season too! I can't wait to go catch me some!!!!!
