Do it here without fear of ridicule! hooray!

hopefully we can cut down on threadjacking now...

I just bought a 98 3.8 convertible. It already has cold air intake with the larger mouth on the throttle body and headers. But for some reason the guy left it single out. I was thinking about putting the H pipe on it to dual it. What do you think. It already sounds pretty good for a v6

The 94-98 came with a tubular header, so you may have the stock exhaust still.

Really? I've never hear a v6 mustang with a stock exhaust this loud. I grew up under the hood my dad has been a mechanic for 45 years now. Granted it does sound like a v6 but not a stock v6. When my wife gets back from work and if this website allows me to I will take pictures and post, also I will record it with sound.

If it is the stock exhaust by chance will the H pipe work with the stock headers?

If you get the h-pipe designed to work with shorties or the stock manifolds then yes it will work.

Pics will tell us if it's stock or not.

Looks like you got it!

Those are the stock shorty headers- good for what youll use them for. Your best bet for exhaust is to have a shop cut the Y pipe and convert it to a H pipe- cheaper generally than buying a new midpipe.

As long as the factory ones are not cracked they will be fine, if you need to replace them upgrade to long tube headers otherwise just have a shop fab up a mid pipe and mufflers

You can get clips on you tube to see what you like for sound
