i went to high school with a guy that totaled out 4 cars in 3 years. the last time he hit a bridge pillar at very fast and killed himself.the craziest thing is his girlfriend and her 12 year old brother were also in the car and walked away unhurt. this guy had already killed 2 people because he was a dumbass whose parents were half the problem. i know when i have kids, there first car will be slow, big and safe.

Holy hell, I think it's safe to say nobody walked away from those wrecks. What a shame.

Doo Doo happens! I walked away from one in 89 and the cops and the tow truck driver didn't believe I was driving, because I didn't have a scratch on me.

Awesome, First the "fox bodies rule all" posts, and now stuff like this "happens", and it's ok b/c you walked away.

I vote member of the year right there. (FACEPALM!)

How about I was hit in a fox years ago. I didn't walk away. I was in rehab 3 months and had reconstructive surgery afterwards just to be able to write. All b/c some chick on a cell hit me from behind.

The message of this thread:

DRIVE SMART, DRIVE SAFE.

You need to learn that.

I'll bump this with some pics and a story: 1 lives, 2 dead, 100+ MPH

Fatal crash claims two lives (06.23.11): Two Muncie men are dead and another hospitalized after a high speed crash near Eaton.

A firefighter looks at part of a car that landed in a pond after crashing into a tree along Eaton-Albany Pike in Niles Township just east of a house at 10410 E. Eato
ALBANY -- Two are dead and a third was injured after being ejected from a vehicle in a high-speed, single-car accident along Eaton-Albany Pike in Niles Township early Wednesday evening.

Jake C. Monroe, 18, and Myles S. Swoboda, 20, were confirmed dead at the scene by Delaware County Coroner Scott Hahn.

A third passenger, Dylon S. Strunk, 18, was flown from the scene by medical helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he was listed in good condition at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday. Hahn said Strunk was conscious and alert at the crash scene.

It was unclear who was driving the car.

Lt. Arlan Johnson with the Delaware County Sheriff's Office's accident reconstruction team said the vehicle was traveling eastbound at about 100 miles per hour on Eaton-Albany Pike on Wednesday at 5:53 p.m. when officers believe the driver lost control of the vehicle, swerving left of the center line.

Johnson said it appeared the driver tried to correct his vehicle back into the eastbound lane, causing his car to run off of the road and strike a culvert.

From there, the car is believed to have hit a boulder before traveling horizontally across a driveway.

"That caused it to go airborne and strike two evergreen-type trees, and then (it) struck a large tree next to a pond," Johnson said.

When officers arrived on scene, they found half of the car -- which they believed to be a green Ford Mustang -- wrapped around the large tree to the east of the house at 10410 E. Eaton-Albany Pike.

The other half of the vehicle was several feet away, resting near a pond.

"I've been in accident reconstruction since 1988, and this is the worst scene I've been to as far as damage to a vehicle," Johnson said.

Johnson said all three occupants were ejected from the vehicle. He said officers were expecting to be at the crash scene for several hours into early this morning.

"We basically have three scenes within one scene, so we're going to be here several hours," Johnson said.

Johnson cited speed as one of the factors in the crash, but with no witnesses to the accident, he said it would take some more investigation to determine other factors.

I hate to say this, but this is what happens when young and dumb kids get behind the wheel of a car like this and think they're invincible.....
