Would there be any differences in any brand of 'standard' sfc? I mean, if its just metal "rods" would cheap ones suffice?

I've heard they are all very similar, regardless of 'brand name'. A priority might be to get them powdercoated.

Then I would just get the 'el cheapoes' from LMR. Would the rubberized undercoating be good? and do they really make that much of a handling difference?

Quite a few people in other threads have said they noticed a difference. IIRC some said it helped tighten up the ride overall.

Not going to argue too much, I just don't see the difference in $50 somethin for LMRs version of them and $120 for a name brand?

I mean, its just metal?

"Maximum Motorsports was the originator of full-length subframe connectors. They have now improved on the original design by increasing the length and height of the connector tube. The resulting XL Series connector is much stiffer than any other subframe connector.

The MM XL Series Full-length Subframe Connectors stiffen your chassis far more than standard connectors. The taller tubing of the new XL Series creates a connector that is 95% stiffer than a standard subframe connector. The XL connector tubing is 53% stiffer than MM's previous Full-length subframe connectors. Beware of connectors from companies who lack the engineering expertise to design their own products. Some have copied the previous design. The new XL Series connectors are 53% stiffer than those copies.

The new XL Series Full-length Subframe Connectors extend from the rear lower control arm attachment point on the rear subframe all the way up to the firewall. This provides substantially more weld area between the connector and the chassis. At 65", the extra length, increased number of attachment points, and extra height in the tubing make this the stiffest subframe connector available.

The XL Series Full-length Subframe Connectors are made of 1.5" x 2" x .083" wall thickness rectangular tubing. The thinner wall tubing is used to lessen the weight, while the taller dimension increases stiffness by 95% over standard connectors. MM adds reinforcing plates at each bend to prevent the flexing which would otherwise occur with the thinner wall tubing."

Quoted from Americanmuscle. Take it with a grain of salt I guess but they have to have something to back up that argument no?

I mean everyone always says MM ftw for suspension components and they're saying they improved on their old design by 50% and that new ones are 95% stiffer than standard sfc's...I'll pay the $50 more and springs for the MMs. I just have to wait for some $$$ and find a place to weld them up for me.
